Gary Preston Krause, 64, of Austin died Sunday, June 13, 2010, with family and friends close in his heart. He was a loving son, father, husband and brother, whose insight into the detail of the world will be greatly missed.
The Krause family lived in Buda for a number of years. Gary attended the Buda schools until the family’s move in 1964.
Father, Preston Krause and sister, Catherine Bachus, precede Gary in death.
He is survived by mother, Leta Krause of Austin; wife, Gail Krause of Austin; sister Jane Hallgren and husband Otto of Whitefish, Montana; daughter Tanya Randall and husband Matt of Hempstead Texas; son Adam Cody and wife Angela of Pflugerville; daughter Brandi Krause of Flatonia; daughter Cheyenne Krause of Austin; step-son Bryan Higginbotham of Austin and four grandchildren, Colton Randall, Mia Krause, Katie and Charlie Higginbotham; and by man’s best friend, Rosie.
Gary loved to travel and see new country. He loved all things mechanical from antique tractors to the latest military vehicles. Gary took great pride in the successes of those he loved. Those who go on without him will remember him dearly.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in his name be sent to a charity of your choice.
