Luis A. Lopez, 81, a resident of Kyle, TX passed away at his home on Sunday, September 26th. He was born in Luling, TX on June 21, 1929 to Jose and Natividad (Arrola) Lopez. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. Luis is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carmen Martinez Lopez; son, Ismael Lopez of San Marcos; daughter, Victoria Longoria and her husband, Rudy, Sr. of San Marcos; son, Richard Lopez of San Marcos; son, Robert Lopez of Kyle; daughter, Anita Velasquez and her husband, Raymond of Kyle; daughter, Yolanda Lopez and her companion Ramon Pastrano of San Marcos; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were his grandsons, Chris, Peter, Adam, Andrew, Rudy, Jr. and Richard, Jr.
A funeral mass was celebrated on Wednesday, September 29th at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Martindale and Mr. Lopez was interred at the San Juan Cemetery in Prairie Lea.
