Commissioners Court puts Hays County under burn ban

Early voting in the Nov. 2 San Marcos City Council election, as well as county, state and national elections, will be held  weekdays from Monday, Oct. 18 through Friday, Oct. 29, and Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 23-24.


Voters will elect a range of officials including congressman, state representative, county judge, district judge, county court at law judge, sheriff and, in precincts 2 and 4, county commissioners.


Voters in both San Marcos CISD and Hays CISD will decided whether to join to the Austin Community College taxing district, opening the door to community college campuses in those communities.


Early voting is scheduled in the Kyle and Buda areas at the following times.


Kyle City Hall:

10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18;

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23;

10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 25.


Buda City Hall:

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23.

10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27

10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29;


Seton Medical Center Hays:

10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22

10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29
