Gabriel D. Flores, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and brother, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2010 in Buda, Texas. Gabriel was born on March 17, 1927 in Manchaca, Texas to Nieves Flores and Esperanza Caranza and later moved to Austin with his wife, Marsela Mendez. They were married for 65 years. Gabriel was a rancher and contractor all his life who worked hard to always help others in need. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marsela, and is survived by his eldest daughter, Janie F. Valdez and her husband Paul of Buda, Texas; son Lorenzo Flores and his wife Janie of Dale, Texas; daughter Anita Arias and her husband David of Austin, Texas; and son George Flores of Austin, Texas; grandsons, Paul Anthony Valdez, Sr., Lawrence Flores, Stephen Valdez, and Michael Ray Flores; great-grandsons, John Michael Hernandez, Zachary Hernandez, Avery Flores, Paul Anthony Valdez, Jr., Gage Davidson, and Cade Davidson; granddaughters, Michelle Flores, Monica Davidson; and great-granddaughters, Marianna Valdez, Gabriella Hernandez, Vanessa Flores, Savannah Valdez, and Angelina Valdez.
