Buda City Manager Kenneth Williams played Santa last Thursday by presenting a check in the amount of $2,500 to the Onion Creek Senior Citizens Center. Members of the Buda non-profit organization cheered as he presented the check. The seniors love Christmas presents like that!

Current PEC members were also given an early Christmas present in the form of the capital credit that reduced the electric bill due this month.

Stop by the benefit garage sale on Sat., Dec. 18 at Faith Assembly of God Church at 1030 Main Street in Buda and help out the family of ten-year-old Brooke Durham. There will be good bargains as well as food and drinks for sale to help with medical expenses for Brooke.

Pat Simon and daughter Katrina opened their home in Huntington Estates on Sunday afternoon for a “sweet time.” Friends, relatives and neighbors enjoyed the time together and loved all the special sweet treats.
Birthday wishes go out this week to Judy Deats, Annette Potts and Betty Stang on Dec. 16; Jeff Odell on Dec. 18; Curtis Phipps on Dec. 20; eight-year-old Caleb Clark, Ciarra Lowden, Judi Wolfe and Robert Kunesh on Dec. 21.

Enjoy all the sights and sounds of Christmas and don’t miss seeing the Trail of Lights in Stagecoach Park and shopping in downtown Buda for the Holiday Extravaganza Dec. 16-18. There will be carriage rides, last minute shopping and lots more. The shops will be open until 9 p.m.
