STAFF REPORTS
The Kyle City Council voted 6-0 to approve a site plan, a variance request and conditional use permits for a Panda Express at its regular meeting on Tuesday night.
The 2,737-square-foot building will be located in the Kyle Crossing Shopping Center at the southwest corner of Interstate 35 and Kyle Parkway. Developers of the fast food Chinese restaurant asked for a variance from landscaping requirements to fit 11 additional parking spots on their lot.
The council also approved site development plans and related permitting for a 15,830-square-foot medical office building to be built on the north side of Bunton Creek Road at Interstate 35.
Council members approved a variance to landscaping requirements requested by the office project’s developers, Green, Herrington and Howell, LLC and Onair Development. The company will plant fewer trees than otherwise would have been required, 61 instead of 78 but will plant significantly more shrubs than codes mandate, 651 instead of 157.
