Sexual assault of teen reported in Kyle
A 14-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a 17-year-old man while staying at a friend’s house in Kyle, police say.
Jose Santiago, of Kyle, was charged with sexual assault of a child, a second degree felony, on Dec. 19. Kyle police say that Santiago was a known acquaintance of the girl. He was released from Hays County Jail on Dec. 21 on a $10,000 bond, records show.
Kyle police responded to the call at 6 a.m. on Dec. 18 on the 100 block of Sawgrass Circle in the Amberwood subdivision.
Video camera found in woman’s bathroom
A woman found a video camera recording her while she was in the bathroom of her San Marcos area home, authorities say.
Hays County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an improper visual recording call Jan. 2 at about 2:30 a.m. on the 100 block of Reimer Ave., located outside the city limits near So High Sports and Fitness Performance Center.
While on scene, the woman told deputies that she was taking a shower and when she stepped out she noticed a black box, which contained images of her, a sheriff’s spokesperson said.
No other details were available and the incident is still under investigation.
