Come March there will be a familiar face back in the area. Buddy Johnson has accepted the position of minister at the First Baptist Church in Buda. He grew up in Kyle, graduated from Hay High School and has many friends and relatives in the Buda/Kyle area. His family, which includes wife Nancy along with two grown daughters and a high school age son, will be moving to Buda in the near future. His parents are Kyle residents, Moe and Gene Johnson.

The North Hays Optimist (NHO) Pony Baseball and Softball has now started registration for the spring season. They offer Kinderball for three and four year olds and baseball/softball for ages five-16. Longtime NHO volunteer and now the new Board President, Amanda Jackson, believes all children should play no matter what their level of experience or what type of hardships they may have. They are able to keep registration fees low with good community support and volunteers, and the facilities are in great shape. Contact Amanda at 512-237-0072 or visit www.nhogators.com for more information or to join in the fun at NHO.
