Last month, The Mexican American School Board Members Association (MASBA) executive board appointed former Hays CISD trustee Joe Muñoz to the position of MASBA Co-Executive Director.
While president of MASBA in 2007-08, Muñoz worked with the University Interscholastic League for two years to make “Mariachi” a sanctioned event at the high school level.
“Joe has a vested interest in all children’s education,” said Manuel Rodriguez, current president of MASBA. “He has been seen as a rising leader in Texas and the country. He is well-versed in his experience in fast-growing schools districts”.
