Middle school band concert Thursday
Three Hays CISD middle school bands will perform in concert tomorrow evening, Thursday, Dec. 2, at the Performing Arts Center. The program opens at 6:30 p.m. with the Simon Middle School Beginners Band, followed by the Simon Symphonic Band. Chapa Middle School is set to perform at 7:15 p.m., with its Beginners Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble, respectively. Wallace Middle School’s Beginners Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble are scheduled for approximately 8 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.
Bazaar Friday at Hays High
Don’t miss the Holiday Bazaar set for this Friday, Dec. 3, at the Hays High School cafeteria. The event runs from 5-8 p.m.and is hosted by the Hays Project Graduation committee. Booths can be rented for $25 to all home-based businesses and crafts. To rent a booth or for more information, contact Debra Cox at [email protected] or call 517-1141.
Area Senior’s Holiday Dinner
The annual Hays CISD Holiday for Seniors is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 9, 5:30 p.m., at the Performing Arts Center. Local senior citizens are warmly invited to dinner followed by a holiday concert by the district’s band students. Admission is free. Please RSVP at 268-2141. Busses will be available at 5:15 p.m. at both St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Kyle and Santa Cruz Catholic Church in Buda to provide transportation to and from the event.
HCISD Holiday Concerts next week
High school and middle school choirs of Hays CISD are all offering their special contributions to the season with upcoming holiday concerts at the Performing Arts Center. Simon and Dahlstrom middle school choirs join Hays High on Monday, Dec. 6, in consecutive performances starting with Simon at 6 p.m., followed by Dahlstrom at 7 p.m. and the Hays choir at 8 p.m. The following evening, Tuesday, Dec. 7, the Wallace Middle School choir performs at 6:30 p.m, followed by the Lehman High School choir at 8 p.m. Wednesday evening, Dec. 8, the Chapa Middle School choir performs at 6:30 p.m. and the Barton Middle School choir performs at 8 p.m. All concerts are free and the public is warmly invited to attend.
