I was privileged for eleven of the best years of my life to have had the opportunity to teach with Mary Giberson. What a person and what an art teacher! Although she was passionate about art, she was thoroughly practical and she loved those kids. I am almost ashamed to have taken taxpayer money for teaching the best kids in the world and working with wonderful people like Mary. This great lady deserves more credit for her service to the community than ever she will receive.
The Free Press is to be commended for its work in developing a story about this gentle and gracious citizen. I hope the good citizens of this school district are fully aware of the good fortune that attended the service of Mary Giberson.
In short, Mary Giberson made a good faculty better. The people can’t ask for much more.
