Schools observe Labor Day
All Hays CISD campuses and offices will be closed next Monday, Sept. 6, as students and staff observe Labor Day. All offices will re-open and students will return to class at normal times Tuesday.
Lobos offer The Hobbit
Lehman High School features a community theatre performance of “The Hobbit” Friday through Sunday, Sept. 10-12. The Friday and Saturday performances are at 7 p.m. and a final Sunday matinee is offered at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for students, children and senior citizens.
Open houses coming up
Hays High School’s annual “Howdy Hays” Open House is Monday, Sept. 13, with parents receiving their student’s schedule at 6:10 p.m. and a short general session in the cafeteria at 6:30 p.m. Dahlstrom Middle School’s Open House is set for 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, as well, starting at 5 p.m.
New elementary dedications set
Hays CISD’s newest campuses, Carpenter Hill Elementary and Ralph Pfluger Elementary, will hold their official dedication ceremonies Friday, Sept. 17. The Carpenter Hill dedication is set for 8 a.m. and the Pfluger dedication is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. The public is invited.
