Emergency crews responded to a three-vehicle collision along FM 1626 near Elm Grove Elementary School in Buda around 10:30 a.m. Monday. A cement mixer truck from CENTEX Materials apparently hit a Chevrolet Malibu heading south on FM 1626, which had stopped to turn on Oyster Creek. The cement truck slammed into the rear of the vehicle and then struck a GMC Yukon, according to witnesses. The drivers of the Malibu and Yukon were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. As of 11 a.m., the northbound lane on FM 1626 was closed. (Photo by Sean Kimmons)
