A 23-year-old Buda man was killed Friday night when his motorcycle collided with a dump truck along FM 2001 between Buda and Niederwald, officials say.
Russell Allen James died when the truck’s driver failed to yield the right of way while it turned left from FM 2001 and Williamson Drive around 6 p.m., a Texas Department of Public Safety official said.
The official named the driver of the truck as Ricardo Ruiz of Del Valle.
James, nicknamed “Rusty,” worked as a journeyman lineman for Irby Construction and graduated from La Vernia High School in 2005, according to his obituary.
Visitation will be held at the Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel in Seguin on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Interment is private.
James is survived by his wife Allyson James and parents Zachary James and Maxine Wilborn.
