Edith Thiele Schumacher, 90, of Boerne, passed away August 12, 2010, in Boerne, TX. She was born in New Braunfels to Nick Joseph and Lilly Bell (McCall) Thiele on July 28, 1920.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Leon Schumacher (2001); brothers Nick Joseph, Charles, Ernest and James Thiele; sisters Louise Bryant and Nellie Bell Keeler; and stepdaughter Janine Bradford.
Survivors include son Will Robbins of Boerne, stepson Leon Schumacher of San Antonio, daughter Karen Hillard and her husband Bob of Austin, and stepdaughter Dianne Marcotte and her husband Rodney of Conroe. She has 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Edith was a loving wife and mother and a friend to her children and grandchildren. Edith worked for many years in the insurance business. She loved keeping in touch with her relatives and friends and always looked forward to the family reunions. There will be a memorial reunion for her in October so that everyone can come and enjoy memories of her.
