The column in the Feb. 2 Free Press; ‘Of, by and for 26 percent or the people’; is inaccurate in many ways. One biased poll stated 26% of people oppose repeal of the ‘Affordable Care Act’ (Obama care) while other polls show over 60% favor repeal. 27 states have filed lawsuits to overturn the Law because of it’s harmful effects; on medical care and cost from unfunded mandates to the states and higher premiums for health insurance, with reduced care because many Doctor owned hospitals canceled construction due to being illegal under the Law, with reduced care because scheduled lower payment to providers is driving them out of the medical profession while over 20 million people are added to government supported and regulated system, and with limited care for seniors based on decisions by death panels.
The article demeans critics of President Obama and Congress by saying critics suddenly got religion about debt and deficits. We the People have had this religion a long time along with George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, etc.; who warned us about debt, a national bank like the FED, and foreign entanglements.
The writer says: ‘The House may vote the will of the TEA Party but it’s not the will of the People.’ It was the whole People that elected Conservatives to reverse the Marxist policies of President Obama and the Congress Democrats controlled since Jan.
2007. Progressives of both parties did all the wrong things which suppressed the economy while pushing through takeover of banks, credit, manufacturing, health care, energy production, environment, etc.; and refusing ideas that would reduce debt and stimulate the economy.
