In the spirit of the holidays, the staff members of the Kyle Community Library would like to thank all the people who support the library’s mission.
We’d like to thank the many volunteers who help the Kyle Library: Carol Pfeiffer, who assists with the Wednesday Storytimes; Virginia Crowe who shelves books on Wednesday mornings; Valerie Marburger who shelf-reads books on Thursday mornings; Charlotte Towles who straightens our stacks on Friday mornings; and Betty Masters who volunteers on Saturdays. And we thank in advance all the volunteers who will help people fill out tax forms in the upcoming tax season.
We also appreciate those who serve on the Library Board: Kathy Ryan, chairperson; Shirley Lucas, secretary; Wynette Barton; Ceverene Lackey; and Joseph Vasquez. We thank the people who donate goods to the Kyle Library Thrift Shop, and we thank the people who work there so tirelessly to raise funds for the library.
We thank the many, many people who help our summer reading programs be a success: the merchants who contribute goods and prizes and the teenagers who help us deal with the increased activity, among others. We again thank Kohl’s Department Store for their $500 grant to the library.
And then there are all the people who help us monetarily with their generous contributions. We thank all the people who thought of the Kyle Library as a way to honor their departed loved ones, including everyone who sent contributions in honor of Mabel Van Doren. And we also appreciate the people who tell us to keep the change when they pay for their printouts or photocopies, as well as all the people who give us the best gift of all – their smiles.
