Have the crazies won?

STAFF REPORTS

News is still scant on law enforcement officials’ announcement late last week that they are investigating a murder that likely took place somewhere in Hays County.

Upon stopping a white Ford pickup, southbound on IH-35 at about 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, New Braunfels police discovered a body in the truck’s open bed, wrapped in plastic, New Braunfels police Lt. Mike Penshorn said.

The Hays County Sheriff’s Office has taken over the case and two male suspects remain in custody. Deputy Mike Thielen said that he was unsure if the two suspects had been charged and would not release the name of the victim or any other details.

“They’re still working it, trying to piece everything together,” Thielen said.
