DRIPPING SPRINGS -- Starting Sept. 13, Dripping Springs ISD (DSISD) will host two free drive-thru COVID-19 testing sites for the community.
DSISD will offer testing at the former Walnut Springs Elementary campus (300 Sportsplex Drive) and Sycamore Springs Middle School (14451 Sawyer Ranch Road). Both locations will provide this service at no charge, but those being tested will be asked for an insurance card if they have one. No appointments or referrals are required at either site.
The former Walnut Springs Elementary site will have testing available through MD Diagnostics from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Those wishing to test should enter at Parade Way and drive to the front of the building. Both rapid tests and PCR tests will be available.
The second testing site will be a mobile pod at Sycamore Springs Middle School offered through Grand Avenue Pharmacy. Testing will be available from 8 a.m.to 5 p.m. every day. When entering the main Sycamore Springs campus entrance on Sawyer Ranch Road, those being tested should veer to the left near the stadium.
For every test, one swab will be used for rapid testing, then it also will be sent for a PCR test.
