Sexual assault in Kyle reported on Christmas
A sexual assault was reported to the Hays County Sheriff’s Office on Christmas morning, authorities say. Deputies were called out around 7:30 a.m. Dec. 25 to a home on the 400 block of Stag Horn Pass in east Kyle.
Inside the home, a 23-year-old man allegedly sexually assaulted a 17-year-old female. Both individuals were staying at the home. No arrests have been made and the incident is still under investigation, a Sheriff’s Office spokesperson said Tuesday.
Tree recycling
Kyle residents can recycle their old Christmas trees by dropping them off at Gregg-Clark, Steeplechase or Waterleaf parks through the month of January.
Residents are asked not to bring artificial trees. The trees are dried for a year and made into mulch used on public property throughout Kyle, said Kerry Urbanowicz, the city’s Parks and Recreation Department director.
Texas Disposal System will pick up Christmas trees less than four feet tall left curbside on residents’ regular trash pickup day. Larger trees can be cut into smaller pieces for pickup, city officials said.
