Marjorie Elaine Martinez, 61, of Kyle joined the Kingdom of God on Saturday, July 24, 2010.
She was born in Tiffin, Ohio on December 10, 1948 to the late Alphie and Mae Catherine Miller. Marjorie graduated from Hopewell-Loudon High School and received a degree in Spanish from Ohio Northern University. She received her master’s in library and information systems from the University of Texas at Austin. She was married to Enrique Martinez on January 27, 1972. They lived together in Mexico City and Ohio before relocating to the Kyle area 27 years ago. She served as the director of the Buda Public Library for 20 years. She had a passion for helping others and was a true teacher to many. She retired from the library in April 2010.
Marjorie leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Enrique Martinez of Kyle; three sons, Gabriel and wife Jo An of Martindale, granddaughter Aissa; Patrick and wife Tricia of Kyle, granddaughters Sydney and Marley; and Brian and wife Annette of Austin, grandsons Enrique and Esteban; brothers Richard Miller and Michael Miller of Ohio; and many nieces and nephews of Mexico City and Ohio.
Family visitation was held Tuesday, July 27, at Harrell Funeral Home in Kyle. Funeral mass was held Wednesday, July 28, at Santa Cruz Catholic Church in Buda. Burial followed at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale.
