Check It Out

Do you have special expertise, skills, talents, or all of the above? An interest you’d like to share with a group? If so, contact the Kyle Public Library. We’re always looking for volunteers to teach classes, organize programs or coordinate groups. For instance, John Cervantez teaches English as a Second Language (ESL) classes every Saturday from 9:45-11:00 a.m. And Becky Watts started a book group, the Page Turners, which meets every third Thursday from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
French classes are the newest volunteer-led initiative at the Kyle Public Library. Rim Chadli has kindly offered to teach free French classes. Ms. Chadli will adjust the classes based on the interests, levels and needs of the people who sign up (within the limitations of the library’s community room’s availability). Already two different sessions are planned: one for adults on Tuesdays from 6-7 p.m. and one for teenagers and children younger than 16 years old on Thursdays from 5-6 p.m.
If you would like more information, Ms. Chadli invites you to email her at [email protected]. To sign up, please either come by the Kyle Public Library located at 409 W. Blanco St., email [email protected] or call (512) 268-7411. A bientôt!
