A realignment project will close Martin Road at the intersection of US 290 for approximately eight months, according to TxDOT.
The project will construct a minor realignment of Martin Road and create a dedicated right turn on westbound US 290. Traffic will be rerouted during the closure. Drivers will use McGregor Lane as the detour road.
TxDOT announced the road closure on Monday morning.
This 2016 Hays County Road Bonds voter-approved project will cost $1.3 million. TxDOT will manage and inspect the construction.
