Judith Anne Greene "Judy" 81, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2021. She lived in Plum Creek in Kyle, Texas with her husband, George Greene.
Judy was born in Linton, Indiana on March 19, 1940 to Kermit and Frieda Corbin. She had one brother, Kermit Lee Corbin.
At a young age she met the love of her life, George Greene. They were married in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 10, 1956 and have been devoted to each other for 65 years. They began their married life in Indianapolis and Plainfield, Indiana. In 1963, after eight years of marriage, their first and only child William "Billy" was born. The family moved to the Houston area in 1964 and then in 1972, moved to Alice, Texas where they would stay for almost 30 years. During most of those years, Judy worked as a bookkeeper. In 2003 George and Judy followed Billy and his family to Kansas which is where Judy began her second career working in the school cafeteria. In 2006, she and George moved to Kyle where she happily took another position at her neighborhood elementary school cafeteria (Negley). She absolutely loved working with the kids, teachers and staff. Despite working with hundreds of children it wouldn't take Judy anytime at all to memorize their names! She loved being called "Ms. Judy" and she loved their hugs and smiles. Judy retired in 2020 at 80 years young!
