Kyle will again celebrate Dia de los Muertos with a block party and attendant festivities 2:30-9 p.m. Nov. 6.
The traditional Mexican celebration of those who have passed on, Dia de Los Muertos will be observed with live music including the Wallace Middle School all-district mariachi band as well as folk dancing and other festivities, said Johnell Huebner, the event organizer.
Nonprofit organizations are invited to set up booths to sell food and wares for fundraising. Booths will cost $40 for nonprofits and $60 for other groups.
The event is sponsored by Seton Medical Center Hays with support from the Kyle Chamber of Commerce, Austin Community College, the San Marcos Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Johnson family and Kyle Mayor Lucy Johnson.
