Peggy Horner Wisian passed away in Dallas and funeral services were at the Uhland Live Oak Cemetery last Friday. She was the wife of the late Weldon Wisian, son of Fred and Wallie Wisian, who were part of the Uhland Community for many years. Weldon attended Uhland School and later moved to Lockhart with his parents and sister Marilyn. He met and married Peggy and they and their family lived in Arlington.

Our prayers and best wishes are with Jim Alexander, who was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Highway 21. Jim and wife, Cindy, are members of St. John Lutheran Church and have served on many committees. Jim also served as president of the then UCC for several years. As Santa Claus, he came to see the children at St. John on his motorcycle one Christmas. Jim is recovering in Brackenridge in Austin at this time.

Speaking of birthdays, boy did I goof! Oscar Villareal Jr. is not the name of Melissa and Oscar’s son.  His name is Austin James Villareal. So sorry. Hope his birthday was happy anyway. Blame it on being a great-great Aunt Myrtle. I’m very sorry-next time I’ll take written notes.
