Kenneth Kay Burcham, 75, of Creedmoor, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, in his home. He died peacefully in his bedroom with family surrounding him and his wife holding his hand. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and while our loss is great, we find comfort and peace knowing that he is no longer suffering and is with our Heavenly Father today. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents Scott Burcham and Verna Wetsel Burcham.
He is survived by brother, Carroll Burcham and wife Nancy; brother Ralph Burcham and wife Gladys and sister Ruth Burcham Arthaud and husband Richard. He is also survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Ella Ruth Burcham and their children, Arthur Kent Burcham and wife Katie, Kelley Burcham Humphrey and husband Michael and Kyle Burcham and wife Monica.
One thing everyone noticed about Kenneth was the way his entire face lit up the minute he saw any of his nine grandchildren. They were the light of his life. Brooke, Bailey and Bradley Burcham, McKayla and Megan Humphrey and Taylor, Tucker, Sam and Abby Burcham are all better people today because of the example of unconditional love and integrity their PaPa showed them. Truly Kenneth has given us a legacy built on faith and family.
Funeral service was held at Harrell Funeral Home, Kyle, on Mon., March 2. Burial followed at Live Oak Cemetery in Manchaca.
