WIMBERLEY – The Wimberley High School Swimming and Diving Team competed at the 4A-Region IV meet at the Southwest ISD Aquatic Center in San Antonio on Jan. 27 and Jan. 28.
At the regional meet, the first and second place finishers automatically qualify for the state meet. Then, the next fastest eight swimmers from across the state also qualify as 'call-ups.'
In San Antonio, Cassidy Davis qualified for state in her two individual events, the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard breaststroke by finishing fourth and sixth overall. When compared with the other 15 state qualifiers, Davis' times are the ninth-fastest in each event.
