Dripping Springs shortstop Taylor Anderson, pictured above, catches a pop-up and makes sure the ball stays in the glove for the second out in the top of the first inning against Converse Judson. The game was one of dozens played over the weekend in the 17th Annual Brittany Tuck Memorial Tournament.

Dripping Springs took a 4-0 lead in the third inning and held on to win 6-3. Anderson, who holds the school record for stolen bases, is 20 for 20 in steals this season and leads the team with a .591 batting average. Twenty teams entered and under the tournament’s points system, Barbers Hill (55) took first place, Georgetown second (50) and Dripping Springs third (49).

Dripping Springs opens district play at home against Johnson at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7.
