DRIPPING SPRINGS — The Dripping Springs High School DECA program qualified a school record of seven students for the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) at the DECA state competition held March 9-11 in Dallas.
DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
Advancing to the ICDC in April is Aidan Brunner (Automotive Marketing), Evelyn Chis (Apparel & Accessory Marketing), Gabriella Erb (Business Services Marketing), Margot Heltzel (Business Finance), Samantha Heltzel (Hospitality Services), Morgan Rockwood (Hospitality Services) and Jackson Wiedemann (Human Resources Management).
In January, Dripping Springs had a record of 47 students qualify for state following a successful district competition. Fifteen students advanced to the state finals in their respective events, which is also a school record.
The ICDC will be held April 22-25 in Orlando, Florida.
