Dozens of family, friends, neighbors and former co-workers gathered to celebrate the life and legacy of Buda Chamber of Commerce founder Richard “Dick” Schneider on March 25 at the Onion Creek Senior Center, who passed away in September 2022.
Throughout the celebration, Schneider’s loved ones continued to share stories of road trips, Chamber events, “wine and stinky cheese” parties and more, remembering him as someone who never met a stranger, lived his life unapologetically and was optimistic, helpful and a good friend. “He touched many lives in and around this room and in and around this community.
I feel like we’re obliged to take what we learned from Dick and pay it forward wherever we go,” Harkrider said.
