DSISD announces campus teachers of year

DRIPPING SPRINGS — Dripping Springs ISD recognized the 2022-23 Campus Teachers of the Year.

The staff of each school selected these educators through a voting process and winners are now eligible for the DSISD Elementary Teacher of the Year and Secondary Teacher of the Year awards.

The nominees for these honors include:

• Stephanie Stamps, Cypress Springs Elementary, Special Education

• Katie Anderson, Dripping Springs Elementary, Music

• Kathryn Wilson, Rooster Springs Elementary, 4th Grade

• Jennifer Blackmon, Sycamore Springs Elementary, 3rd Grade

• Jennifer McGinnis, Walnut Springs Elementary, 3rd Grade

• Jennifer Morris, Dripping Springs Middle School, World Cultures

• Dan Shane, Sycamore Springs Middle School, Speech & Debate

• Chrissy Hinkle, Dripping Springs High School, English Language Arts

The winners of these awards will be based on submitted essay responses and virtual interviews and will be selected by a volunteer committee of retired educators. The results will be announced at a the board meeting on May 23.
