AUSTIN — The Dripping Springs Tigers took on the Stony Point Tigers in the UIL 6A Regional Quarterfinals at the Toney Burger Center in Austin.

The Dripping Springs Tigers beat the Stony Point Tigers 5-3 and will advance to the 6A UIL Regional Semifinals in San Antonio.
York Merrill scored two goals, Mason Russell, Joey Svoboda and Walker Nurmi each scored one goal.
“They got a good lead and almost too defensive to protect the lead and gave them some chances to make a game of it,” Dripping Springs coach Josh Hill said.
Hill went on to state the players are going strong in every game and look forward to their next opponent.
The Tigers (12-11-2) will play in the Regional Semifinals against the Alexander Bulldogs (20-10) on Friday, April 7.
The game is set for 7 p.m. at Comalander Stadium, located at 12002 Jones Maltsberger Road in San Antonio.
The winner of this game will play the Regional Finals at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 8.
