The city of Kyle hosted its Dialogue for Peace & Progress 2023 — Celebrating Juneteenth on Friday, June 16 at city hall. Following the slaying of George Floyd in 2020, the city launched these dialogues that work to join community members and leaders for open and honest conversations to raise awareness and, if necessary, facilitate change in the city of Kyle. Approximately three Dialogues for Peace & Progress events are held each year, centering on different themes. The theme of this conversation was Juneteenth. The event highlights a group of panelists from a multitude of perspectives and backgrounds to speak during the discussion, including, from left, Tiffany Alexander, Michael Clark, Marcie Curl, Craig Hudson, Stephanie Murray and Alex Villalobos. Kyle Arts and Cultural Commission Chair Vanessa Westbrook moderated the panel.
