Buda adjusts water restrictions during drought stages

BUDA — On Tuesday, June 20, the Buda City Council passed changes to its water restrictions during drought stages I, II, III and IV. Effective July 11, 2023, the new drought state water restrictions will apply.

As of June 22, the city of Buda remains under Stage II drought. Residents are asked to follow the drought restrictions as outlined:

Stage II – 20% reduction

• No watering 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

• Resident Odd: Wednesday

• Resident Even: Thursday

• Commercial/Multi-Family: Tuesday

• School/City Athletic Fields: Tuesday and Friday

• Hand Watering: Twice per week, not 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

• Vegetable Gardens: any day, not 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

• Noncommercial Vehicle: Twice per week, any time

• Pools: Filling is prohibited, makeup ok, 50% covered when not in use
