The University Interscholastic League announced the six winners of the 2022-23 UIL Lone Star Cup presented by Texas Farm Bureau Insurance on Friday.

In Class 6A, Conroe The Woodlands took home the conference title. The top 25 schools are recognized and in its first year in Class 6A, Dripping Springs earned 11th on the list. Other Central Texas schools are Austin Vandegrift (No. 6), Austin Westlake (No. 8), Round Rock (No. 12) and Austin Lake Travis and Rockwall tied for 20th.

In Class 4A, Canyon Randall took the top spot with Boerne coming in second place. Wimberley, whose football team made it to the State Championship game finishing runner up, ended in a three-way tie at the 22nd spot with Huffman Hargrave and San Elizario.

The UIL Lone Star Cup program began during the 1997-98 school year and recognizes six high schools (one in each of the six UIL conferences) based on their overall team achievement in a variety of sanctioned academic, athletic and music championships. All UIL member high schools in good standing are included in competition for the UIL Lone Star Cup.

Trophy presentations will take place in the fall at events chosen by the winning schools.
