AUSTIN — The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) is seeking public input on amendments to the 2023-2026 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The comment period is open until July 31, 2023.
While an in-person open house was held on Monday, July 17 at the CAMPO office in Austin, an online open house is still available at campotexas.org and information by mail can be requested by calling 737-226-4840.
CAMPO’s governing body, the Transportation Policy Board, will hold a public hearing with possible action on the amendments at its meeting at 2 p.m. on Aug. 14 at the Junior League of Austin, located at 5330 Bluffstone Lane in Austin. The meetings are open to the public, with a time available for public comments.
Local jurisdictions have an opportunity to submit amendments to projects twice a year in the TIP and 2045 Regional Transportation Plan. Though none were submitted for the 2045 Plan, amendments to the TIP will be automatically amended in the 2045 Plan when applicable. Amendments submitted by local project sponsor entities may include a change in funding source, project length or limits or the project description.
Detailed information about the amendments can be found in the online open house.
