KYLE — An 18-year-old Austin man was arrested on Sept. 8 for several warrants issued by the court, including capital murder, according to Hays County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Jeff Jordan. This is Isaac Nathan Arispe’s fifth arrest since 2022. He faces the following charges: capital murder, murder, aggravated robbery, assault causing bodily injury to a family member, assault causing bodily injury, interfering with public duties and violation of bond/violation of a protective order.

Arispe was charged with murder following an incident that occurred on Dec. 19, 2020, resulting in the death of Christopher Noah Trevino, a Hays High School graduate and Texas A&M San Antonio student who was lovingly called “Binkie” by his family.

According to the Kyle Police Department, officers found Trevino’s body inside a residence on Dusky Thrush Drive in Kyle after responding to a report of shots fired. Investigators believe that Arispe was purchasing marijuana from one of Trevino’s family members and allegedly drew a gun in the course of the transaction. The victim was reportedly shot after attempting to intervene. Arispe, then a juvenile, allegedly fled the scene, but was later apprehended and processed into the Hays County Juvenile Detention Center on charges of murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated robbery. He was released on a $150,000 bond. The murder charge was later enhanced to capital murder on June 8, 2022. He was released on Aug. 6, 2022, on a $100,000 bond.

On June 3, 2023, Arispe was again arrested after a domestic violence incident. According to a complaint and affidavit of probable cause for arrest, KPD was dispatched at approximately 7:08 p.m. in reference to a physical disturbance. An officer arrived in the area and located three males matching the caller’s description hiding in a drainage spillway several blocks away from where the incident occurred. Another KPD officer interviewed the two victims, identified as Arispe’s grandmother and his sister’s boyfriend, who had been living with the suspect for nearly two years.

One of the victims stated that she attempted to break up a fight when she was pushed by one of the suspects, falling onto her elbow and knees. She had apparent injuries consistent with falling, according to the affidavit. Arispe was charged with bodily injury to a family member, a violation of the conditions of his bond.

He is currently being held on $468,000 bond. Arispe’s pretrial hearing is scheduled for Sept. 21 before Judge Joe Pool.
