The Dripping Springs Tigers varsity volleyball team celebrate their comeback after winning against the Westlake Chaps.
DRIPPING SPRINGS — On Tuesday, Sept. 12, the Dripping Springs Tigers varsity volleyball team hosted the Westlake High School Chaparrals and won the close match 3-2.
It was a back-and-forth game from start to finish. The Chaps came out strong and won the first game 25 -22; the Tigers bounced back and won the second game 25-21, the Chaps won the third game 25-19, the Tigers won the fourth game 25-15. The fifth, and deciding, game ended with the Tigers having a dramatic comeback win, with a final score of 16-14.
The Tigers are currently in first place with an overall record of 36-2 in district play. Their next home game is on Sept. 22 against Austin Bowie High School.
