Matt Hernandez, a defensive back for McCollum, was their last chance to stop Dripping Springs’ senior running back Luke Hudson before returning a Cowboy’s kickoff 86 yards for a touchdown to give the Tigers a 21-7 lead. “I didn’t look back – I kept running as fast as I could – and was just hoping they wouldn’t catch me,” Hudson said after the 63-21 win. The run-back was Hudson’s first career kickoff return for a touchdown.
