Dear Editor:
What can we predict if Trump wins again?
More Nazi signs? Larger armies of Oath Keepers and Proud Boys?
Once more taking the USA our of Climate Accord? No more support of NATO or Ukraine? More bowing to Putin and his regime.
Perhaps letting China take Taiwan and the nearby islands, ending Democracy for that “Free World” country.
I predict there will be a shut down of the tremendous achievements of the Biden Administration regarding Wind and Solar Power to once more be replaced by oil and coal power, adding to more Global pollution.
I fear also that our success in vaccinating the poor countries on this Globe against Covid, Tuberculosis, Chicken Pox, Malaria and any other disease that causes pandemics will be halted under “America First” psychology.
Trump bragged during his last bid for the Presidency that he did not pay taxes. Also he said he would not accept payment for his tenure in office. I think at least the first statement was true.
So if Trump does not pay taxes, who does he think pays for his Presidential Jet, the Secret Service, his White House accommodations, the Special White House, Dinners, his $400,000 a year salary, our Military, Medicare, the FBI, CIA, FEMA, Federal Buildings and staff, National Parks and staff, Welfare, Federal Prisons and all the Federal Departments that keep our Democracy in tact? It’s OUR taxes. That’s what. But Trump claims HE doesn’t pay taxes. So how does he propose to ‘MAKE AMERICA GREAT’ if we follow his example and don’t pay taxes?
Please, my dear readers, DO NOT confuse the election of the President of the Greatest Country on the planet to the Academy Awards. It is not an Entertainment Contest. It is a Survival Contest……..not just for us but for this Spaceship we call Earth.
Just remember, this same person —- a seated President —-- told his crowd of Proud Boys and Oath Keepers to go storm the Capitol of the Greatest Country on this Planet — the same Capitol he vowed to protect.
This Country has maintained its Democracy through Depressions, Stock Market Crashes, Wars, and Pandemics. I hope we don’t plan to give it up now by making the wrong decisions at the polls.
