Johnson High School Rosettes, Majestics earn top competition awards

The Moe & Gene Johnson High School dance teams earned numerous awards this past weekend at the MA Dance contest hosted by the Hays Highsteppers at Hays High School.

The Johnson High School Rosettes varsity team awards are as follows:

• Overall 1st place team

• 1st place Dance Officers

• 1st place Social Officers

• Outstanding technique award

• Outstanding choreography award

• Judges Choice award for team jazz

• 1st in category for all officer and team routines

• 1st place Freshman soloist- Peyton Lowden

• 1st place Sophomore/Junior soloist- Addi Lindholm

• 1st place Senior soloist- Maci Masters

• 1st place duet- Ali/Skylar

The Majestics JV Team awards are as follows:

• First Place Junior Varsity Jazz

• First Place Junior Varsity Hip Hop

• First Place Junior Varsity Contemporary

• First Place Team Junior Varsity

The Rosettes will travel to Florida for the DTU Nationals this coming weekend.
