On Sept. 2, a ribbon-cutting ceremony with a brief program was held at Walnut Springs Elementary's new building, featuring a group of fifth graders singing the school song as well as remarks by Superintendent Dr. Holly Morris-Kuentz, Board President Dr. Mary Jane Hetrick, and Principal Melinda Gardner. Visitors were welcome to tour the school following the program.
