Soon-to-be Hays High School graduates of the Class of 2024 toured elementary and middle school campuses district-wide on Tuesday, May 14 for the annual Senior Walks. Each year, Hays CISD’s high school participate in this heartwarming event, allowing graduating seniors to take one last symbolic walk through the halls of the elementary and middle school campuses they once attended years ago. This year's Hays High senior walks featured two routes that visited Blanco Vista Elementary, Kyle Elementary School, Negley Elementary School, Buda Elementary School, Tobias Elementary School, Wallace Middle School and Barton Middle School.

Approximately 300 Lehman High School seniors participated in the annual Senior Walks at local elementary and middle school campuses on Wednesday, May 15, which is one of the district’s most cherished end-of-year traditions. This year, LHS had two routes that visited Science Hall Elementary School, Fuentes Elementary, Hemphill Elementary School, Uhland Elementary School, Chapa Middle School, Simon Middle School and Tobias Elementary School. During the walk, many seniors tearfully hugged and celebrated with educators who taught them during their elementary and middle school years.

Many of the 590 graduating seniors from Johnson High School participated in the annual Senior Walks on Thursday, May 16. There were a few misty eyes as seniors rolled through the halls of their old campuses and visited teachers that they bonded with during their formative years. They also got a grand reception from the students who lined the walls of the campuses to cheer on the soon-to-be graduates. At Pfluger Elementary, students got to recapture some childhood memories with a slide show and a parachute activity that they used to do in gym class. Johnson students visited Carpenter Hill, Pfluger, Tom Green and Sunfield elementary schools, while another group of students visited Carpenter Hill, Elm Grove and Camino Real elementary schools.
