WIMBERLEY — The Lady Texans softball season ended with a Bi-District loss to Gonzales after finishing in third place in 4A Region IV District 27. Wimberley High School head softball coach Robert Klick released the district awards after the team’s annual banquet.
Freshman Regan Kenley, who played in 29 games and finished the season with a .317 batting average was named Newcomer of the Year. Earning First Team honors were seniors Juniper Daniel (.434 batting average), Reese Adams (.507 batting average) and Katie Schroeder (.359 batting average). Second Team: Grace Strobel, Bailey Wright and Charlotte Woodward. Honorable Mention: McKenzie Moore, Rhagen Masur and Jayden Jamieson.
