Sports club to open in Dripping Springs in 2027

DRIPPING SPRINGS — Opening in the Headwaters area of Dripping Springs at the intersection of Highway 290 and Canyonwood Road in mid-2027, the Dripping Springs Sports Club held its launch event on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at Deep Eddy Vodka Tasting Room. It was attended by more than 200 people with standing room only.

A proposed 18-month project, the club has potential to not only host sporting events, but will also be a local gathering space, according to general partner Drew Rose. Described as a “community center with a mix of fitness and wellness,” by Rose, the Dripping Springs Sports Club will be home to a number of spaces open for sports such as pickleball, sand and indoor volleyball, basketball and more.

In addition to sports, the club will also be a space for families to come and play during the heat of the summer or other bad weather days. The building will have areas for meetings and parties, as well as a cafe and playground.

Rose is a volleyball coach and president of the Dripping Springs Youth Sports Association (DSYSA). He and his family have lived in Texas for approximately 10 years and in Dripping Springs for around three and a half years.

One of the issues Rose is hoping will be solved by the club is the lack of amenities.

“We're always leaving Hays County. We're always leaving Dripping [Springs] to go to club practices and tournaments and events and clinics and camps. So really, around the year, we're driving into Westlake, Bee Cave, Round Rock or Pflugerville,” Rose said. “Dripping Springs has a pretty healthy sports community and we just don't have any amenities here when it comes to indoor court spaces.”

He said that opening the club is geared toward providing a space for growing and practicing athletes, as well as a space for families and friends to gather and be active. With spaces for sports and attractions like a trampoline park and a ninja warrior course, the club will be family-friendly. Childcare will be available to those who need it while using the facility.

“I just want a place where families can go and really fill their need of being healthy, being fit, participating in sports, whether they're on the youth or the adult side, and just a place where the community can kind of gather and spend time in that fitness and sports-oriented fashion and just something that community can really be proud of,” Rose said.

Rose encouraged interested investors and those looking for more information to go to the club’s website, www. drippingsportsclub.com.
