A Wimberley High School freshman and senior were among more than 150 entries at the state cross country meet in Class 4A Girls at Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock.
Freshman Corina Joyce has improved her times throughout the season with a 13:07.4 on Aug. 24 and this past weekend turned in a 12.25.40 to place 52nd at the state championships. Joyce set a personal best record of 12:03.173 on Oct. 10 at the District 24 meet.
Wimberley senior Allison Dodds, who has performed consistently in the 12s this season, placed thirty-first at the state meet with a time of 12.11.50. Dodds also turned in her personal best at the District 24 meet with a time of 12:00.8. Canyon’s Addyson Bristow took first place at the championship meet with a time of 10:43.3.
