Hays High School girls basketball player Naya Burleson (No. 21) launches herself upward for the tipoff during the Hawks’ (17-14 overall; 8-5 district) district matchup versus the Glenn High School Grizzlies (32-3 overall; 12-1 district) Tuesday, Jan. 28. While the Hawks fought hard, the Grizzlies claimed victory with a score of 69-31. The Hawks’ last game of the regular season will be against crosstown rival Lehman High School at press time Tuesday, Feb. 4.
