Hays High School Hawks player Joaquin Berumen (No. 1) slides back to second base before being tagged by the Leander High School Lions second baseman in an away game Wednesday, March 19. The Hawks were able to overcome the Lions 15-10 and are currently second place in the district. The Hawks will travel to Rouse High School at press time Tuesday, March 25, before returning home Friday, March 28.
