GEORGETOWN — The Dripping Springs Tigers competed in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) 6A - Area 25 & 26 Area track meet held at East View High School's Patriot Stadium Wednesday, April 9. The top four finishers in each event have now advanced to the Regional IV track meet, which will be held April 18 at Heroes Stadium in San Antonio.
The following Tigers have qualified for the regional track meet:
• Pole Vault: Adeline Spies finished fourth with a jump of 11'6" and new school record
• Izzy Crew: Shot put, 100-meter wheelchair race and the 400-meter wheelchair race
• Long Jump: Mattix DaCunha is the area champion with a jump of 23'9" and Jackson Mills finished in third place with a jump of 22'11.50"
• 110-meter hurdles: Mattix DaCunha - Placed third with a time of 14.15
• Boys 4x200 meters: Third place - Nick Tyndall, Cooper Reid, Jackson Mills and Merrick Bloomgren with a time of 1:28.25
• Boys 4x400 meters: Fourth place - Mikel Mendoza, Cooper Reid, Maddox Maher and Jackson Mills with a time of 3:19.55
